angie goff is at the live desk with the latest updates from officials. hearing? you >> we heard yesterday how the conditions were getting worse. the death toll is rising as well. 50 people now confirmed killed in these wildfires across california. 48 of those died in the camp fire burning in northern california. as we all know by now, the smp fire the deadliest and most destructive fire in the state's history. many of those died while they were trapped in their cars or houses, they were unable to escape as they were completely surrounded by flames. this is a look at some of the search efforts that are still happening. they're continuing into another day and this morningre we hearing from the fire chief in paradise which was a city thaet was comy destroyed. he said that one ambulance caught fire as it was evacuating patients from a local hospital. they used a doggy door in a home to get into their garage and they were able to take cover there with the patients. listen as he describes the heroic efforts. >> the crew here in the ambulance crew, the patients, the nur
