california more wildfires are burning the town of paradise in northern california turned into hell overnight as it was completely burned down twenty seven thousand people evacuated so far we do not hear about any casualties there what's the cause of this it's the wind it's the extremely dry conditions tinder dry brush and chaparral it's been a very. dry summer and fall so this is the the result of those conditions firefighters are coming from all around southern california to try and beat this there are planes in the air dropping fire retardant and water and that this point they're letting the wild lands burn but they're there trying to save the structures another big factor in all of this is the development in this part of california where houses are built just adjacent to the wild land it's called urban wild land interface and that's a big factor in making these fires so destructive so again to recap one hundred fifty thousand people at least evacuated here in southern california more in northern california give you another look up here on the ridge it looks like maybe those houses might b

right now an ugly view of the state, a lot of red there across southern california and northern california. in total, 23 million people in the state being impacted by fire, weather alerts courtesy of these red flag warnings across northern california and the bay area. this active, 4:00 tomorrow, very dry gusty conditions, especially in the hills. notice these areas in red increasing in the north bay by 7:00 a.m. again, that's a sign of the offshore breeze. see the arrows. at noon things begin to dry out. notice the arrows pointing offshore. that is the danger period as we see the wind speeds pickup. it's already gusty, 4,000 feet. mount sane helene a, 61 miles per hour, gustsr ho u nowwind n, probably the windiest period for the north bay and eastayills as the offshore breezes pickup. 11:00 into the noon, except north bay where the breezes may be ongoing through the day. you see the speeds begin to slow down slightly by 5:00. so look at the smoke pollution problem. we're seeing for the morning still very unhealthy, wind speeds picking up temporarily. dispersing a little of the smoke off to
