a lot of 30s and 40s. 49 degrees in pacifica. why are we stuck with the smoke over the top of us? nothing to blow it out. high pressure down to the south and low pressure way up to the north and west. neither of them is giving us enough of a push from the west to get rid of the smoke. the smoke is stuck. we talked about the 3 escape routes, none of them are working and none will continue to work. we are stuck with the smoke. we were hoping the low pressure diving down from the gulf of alaska would scoot close enough to turn the winds around and send the smoke parts elsewhere. not going to happen. it does look like next tuesday the pattern will break down, storms will approach from the north and west when when that happens the winds will turn south/southwesterly, that is the opposite of what we are experiencing right now. as the winds change the smoke should begin to leave. several days from now, but that is the beginning of the end of the smoke that we believe here with the forecast. now, thanksgiving. that is rain. that is mountain snowfall. normal november weather moving in by t
