this is why i say the richmond is a great place for families. the theatre is a treasure in our neighborhood. it has been around for a very long time. is one of our two neighborhood theatres that we have here. i moved here when i was 1959 when i was two years old. we would always go here. i love these neighborhood theatres. it is one of the places that has not only a landmark in the richmond district, but also in san francisco. small theatres showing one or two films. a unique -- they are unique also to the neighborhood and san francisco. >> where we are today is the heart of the richmond district. with what is unique is that it is also small businesses. there is a different retail here it is mom and pop opening up businesses. and providing for the neighborhood. this is what we love about the streets. the cora door starts on clement street and goes all the way down to the end of clement where you will see small businesses even towards 32nd. at the core of it is right here between here and 20 -- tenth avenue. when we see this variety of stores off

( james ) kron4's lydia pantazas has the video that shows just how out of hand thigs got. yesterday the san jose office of chp learned of some information that tipped them to some sideshow activity that was planned in san jose. chp worked with san jose police to position themselves in key locations to stop freeways from being shut down. chp was able to arrest one participant and impounded the owners car for 30 days. officers also observed an onlooker driving erratically and was able to stop that person after a short chase and arrested the driver. chp could not confirm any of the activity that happened on city streets but we are hearing that sjpd was able to arrest at least 3 other drivers and impound several cars. i want to show folks, this is the wet look we have from richmond side of that richmond to san rafael bridge. some drops and wet on the roadway and the light traffic. the traffic is not the issue. it's the conditions for that traffic and over where vianey is showing the radar activity, we see the road and weather conditions creeping toward 101, wet roads and a report from chp saying there was some flooding reported in your far outer lane southbound 101 at 580, right near the interchange, so again, the volume not a concern but the conditions are. so stay to the middle of the roadway, the higher lanes typically off of the crown there and they'll be a little bit drier. looking toward the recovery south through the robin williams tunnel, no problem after that crash was cleared. no major injuries there. look at that green sensors all around the bay, this is a great drive all across the bay. on the peninsula, south 101 in toward mountain view out pavlo alto where our driver ethan our photographer ethan has been driving. this is a drive shot, an easy flow, we don't have wet roadways but they

richmond bridge drive less than 20 min from the toll to 101. making our way out of the dry and smoky weather pattern we've gotten used to for nearly two weeks and into a rainy holiday ahead. rainfall begins today and will take us into tomorrow for thanksgiving as well as black friday. expect daytime highs to remain comfortably cool in the upper 50's and low 60's. ( robin ) the bay area is bracing for rain. the first significant storm of the season ...is here, with some heavier rain coming in a few hours. the storm is bringing rain to dry vegetation... and relief from the thick smoke we've been dealing with for days now. but as kron 4's maureen kelly says, there will still be pockets of unhealthy air ... in some sections of the bay area. we rolled down and they were available so we decided to jump on after being out of service since thursday.....one of san francisco's most beloved tourist attraction was back on track today.the historic landmarks were taken out of service for close to five days as the ugly air quality neared very unhealthy levels
