>> governor scott: sure. so we have very specific election laws in the state to try to prevent fraud. we had to go to court to force the supervisor collectors in palm beach county to comply with the law, the law is there to prevent fraud. they were not letting party officials review when they were reviewing ballots. they didn't report on time. we still don't understand how they went in these two counties and had dramatic increase, another 93,000 votes were cast or somehow they came up with 93,000 votes after election night. we still don't know how they came up with that. trying to figure out exactly what happened. i've asked the florida law enforcement to going into an investigation to find out what happened here but we clearly know the judges have artie said they clearly violated the law. >> chris: i agree with you, there were two decisions, one in broward county and one in palm beach county which both said that the election supervisors there did not comply with transparency and making information available.

if we are at 12602 for scott, that ain't going to get recounted away. the elimination of the crazy rhetoric going down there about all the stuff of the recount that is highly highly unlikely to change any outcome. >> what about that? the president tweeting that the presidential election should ber ron desantis, many votes are forged, must go with election night -- >> well, he's wrong. sounds like he doesn't want any of his military ballots counted and this is veterans day. florida is doing what it's supposed to do. it's counting the votes, going to have a machine recount. went through all of these steps. and probably rick scott is going to be the senator and probably ron desantis is going to be the governor. when they challenge their opponents as sore losers, that's fine. that's within normal give-and-take of elections. to undermine america's faith in the most democratic institution, the ballot box, i think it's wrong. >> let's say the election supervisor in broward county does not have a great track record -- >> no, but they have not found any evidence

apply the votes of nelson and scott to that total votes cast, rick scott still leads. it would go from a little more 12,000 to a little under 3,000. that's just if you applied every vote that way. the likelihood that everyone who undervoted there left a little bit of a mark where they could define voter intent is very, very unlikely. to ana's point earlier, another reason you're seeing rick scott and marco rubio come out and sound very trumpian and talk about the specter of the election being stolen was trump was de facto on the ballot. he made this referendum about himself. when it looked like rick scott wasn't going to win, according to a lot of polls and desantis wasn't going to win, according to a lot of polls and trump won when many polls said he wouldn't. so the reaction is trumpism works. let's embrace it. >> marco rubio, who worked very well all these years with senator bill nelson, they had a good thing going, cordial, civilized, contributory relationship going on. that's why marco rubio was practically mia during this entire campaign on behalf of rick scott.

scott is ahead of nelson by just 12000 votes. they just file three new lawsuits targeting broward in -- counties. they said in florida the campaign has now filed a motion to seize impound. i suppose his last stunt to send and state law enforcement didn't work out as expected. hence, they found no fraud. the campaign bounced back. nelson believes fraudulent ballots should be counted in this election. that is what career politicians are willing to do to protect their own job. it's wrong, we will not let him disrespect the will of the people. senator nelson has his own lawsuit filed. that is that he hopes to get a judge to rule that only counted the votes by burial or predigital era signature on the ballot matches perfectly the signature on file. senator nelson wants that clause because he thinks legitimate votes have been called out. >> in the race to replace rick scott as governor is nationally followed. where does the recount stand on that? >> it is too close to call with the margin still under that half a percentage point. in th

the 2nd district, scott taylor, that wasn't supposed to flip there. scott taylor, embattled republican incumbent, the story in this district is largely virginia beach, about two-thirds of the vote, is going to come out of here, virginia beach. now, this is a -- trump won this portion of the district by four points in 2016. so taylor right now performing as he needs to there. he is going to have to do that, continue to do that because in the other two portions of the district we've got vote here the democrat in york and really in norfolk, the democrat is exceeding hillary clinton's numbers. we're keeping an eye on that one and on the 7th district of virginia, the richmond suburbs, abigail spanberger leading over dave brat here, major pickup for democrats. 6th district of kentucky, rural areas are coming. andy barr, taken the lead over andy mcgrath. very tight, 3,000 votes separate them. very close right now. a few others of florida of note, carlos curbelo, largely miami-dade and the florida keys here, running very slightly behind there. as well, two mo

cnn's scott mcclain is live in agoura hills, california. what is happening, scott? >> reporter: alisyn, we are not in a remote area. we are in suburban los angeles where people have had to evac y. it been et went from a single s. you can see the embers that go all the way up the hillside. the wind is whipping up, which is fueling these flames. every so often you will see the big flare ups, because we are talking wind gusts to 50 to 75 miles per hour. you can see how intense these flames get. there are other parts of this fire that are currently burning homes as we speak. the problem here is not the flames for people, obviously this big road here in this neighborhood is going to serve as a pretty reliable fire break for these folks. a lot of people in the neighborhood, some have gone -- there are 30,000 people under evacuation orders, and some people are heeding the warnings and others are not, they are simply spraying down their homes and trying to make sure the embers don't ignite them if they land on their roof. they are packed up and ready to go. >> scott mcclain
