we go to msnbc's steve kornacki at the kornacki board. steve, what is happening in arizona? >> yeah, in arizona one of the couple of places on the map, lawrence, where the suspense is kind of building here. first of all, let me show you statewide. sinema the democrat has taken the lead of over 9,000 votes statewide. that happened this evening. there's one big reason for that and one smaller one. the big reason is this maricopa county, this is where phoenix is. this is like two thirds of the state almost population wise. this is the current running count in maricopa. i say running count because there are still hundreds of thousands of votes still to be added to this. they added them in batches. they added about 125,000 tonight. and from that 125,000 they favored sinema by more than 20,000. that was the margin that cod got added in here. this istusen, the part of the state sinema was from, also at added a big batch from there tonight. you add those two together and it was enough to have a 9,000 lead. they're going to keep counting tomorrow, into the weekend into next week. wha

joining me now, steve kornacki at the big board. ally first to you, where do we stand today with the recount in florida, in the governor and senate races? >> andrea, both of those recounts are underway. the one place that's getting a lot of scrutiny now, is palm beach county, and broward county. we heard that the rick scott campaign was seeking an injunction to put more law enforcement around the machines and ballots in broward county. and the judge said he didn't think he had the evidence to make that happen, but he suggested that, and these parties are going to reconvene in about an hour. he suggested that maybe you put three sheriffs who don't report to the supervisor of elections there, who has become a controversial figure in this. but he said something else that was interesting. you mentioned in your show open, people have been talking about fraud, but not providing any evidence of that, the judge took note of that, and cautioned everyone to tamp their rhetoric down. what's said in these election offices is taken seriously. wh
