thank you forjoining us, erin. let's go back to our main story, the decision of theresa may to delay the vote on her brexit deal. the discussion in the house of commons behind me is still going on, so let's talk about this with our political correspondent, vicky young. let's tidy up one or two things for our viewers tonight. there was going to bea our viewers tonight. there was going to be a vote on the vote, whether it would be held, that has now gone away. the government always felt they did not need to do that and luckily for them because there was a suggestion they might lose that vote and had to hold the meaningful vote tomorrow and lose that as well. they have said they can unilaterally decide not to hold that vote, that was good to happen in the next hour or so. i think they will be lots of parliamentary shenanigans to try to force the government to do things it doesn't want to but for now, theresa may has had to row back on her major policy, the deal which she is hoping at some point to get through parliame

erin mclaughlin is live in london this morning. er erin, good morning to you. she is in a corner once again. >> reporter: that's right. it was a bruising week last week for prime minister theresa may. she is expected to come out today swinging against growing calls for that second brexit referendum from tony blair, the former uk prime minister. other prime ministers speaking out in favor of that option as well. gordon brown, for example. there are media reports of members of her cabinet, her deputies and chief of staff, planning for that eventuality. those reports have been denied. theresa may, today, is expected to argue against it. saying it is undemocratic and divisive. t the fact of the matter is her brexit deal is expected to get to a vote. the no deal brexit is seen as catastrophic for the eu and uk. some projections show if that happens, the uk economy could go into reception and gdp dipping 7%. the other option is another referendum. that's why we are seeing a momentum growing here for that possibility. >> what a mess. she was even skewered on "saturday
