it all ended here at our location at el charo road on the border of pleasanton and livermore. that's where the victim's car finally pulled off eastbound 580. you can see in our video, a bullet hole in the passenger side door of the gray sedan. chp officers on scene say multiple shots were fire booed the vehicle. fortunately, the passenger who was shot, a man in his early 20s according to friends is expected to survive. he was conscious when he was taken from the scene to the hospital. chp says this all started as some sort of altercation on northbound interstate 680 at mission plvd in fremont. they first got calls around 6:45 this evening. the possible road rage incident continued on the freeway with the shots being fired somewhere near bernal road in pleasanton. for a time chp did rolling shutdowns of northbound 680 to search for bullet casings and evidence. it snarled traffic during the evening commute. the driver of the victim's vehicle was unharmed. he stayed on scene with chp. now the victim's friends, who arrived on scene told me that the two men were traveling home to s
