malkovich do this play, and it made me want to be an actor, or be involved in whatever they were doing. i didn't -- it was the writing, it was the acting, the whole -- the way it came together. and, so, to get a chance to do it now is very meaningful to me, and -- but my character is just hs, and, so, i can't shave, and it's much to my dismay. >> stephen: well, so you're in previews right now? >> yeah, we open in a couple of weeks. our first preview was two days after christmas. >> stephen: so you had to work through the holidays. >> yeah. >> stephen: what was that like? >> well, i gave my kids presents and, in exchange, they had to run lines with me, you know, which is really funny, because my 10-year-old is very smart, you know, but she is 10 and there are a lot of bad words in the play but i really needed to run lines so i didn't care. she's reading the lines and she'll get to a cue and be like, ah, bad word, then -- and i will say, no, no, i know that one. i got this one. skip that one. but my whole family has helped me and that's my holidays. >> stephen: it's a pulitzer prize. >>
