look, mueller did interview other folks in the press staff specifically sean spicer. pamela noted a moment ago, a focus of the mueller investigation is obstruction of justice. i am convinced frankly that mueller is going to go far down that road and conclude there was obstruction of justice here. part of that is, what the difference in the explanations that were offered internally when they were discussing externally, and what the explanations were to the public for certain actions. you can imagine for -- if the president is taking an action and he denies it publicly. does that suggest a consciousness of guilt? does that suggest a desire to hide what they were doing? that's the sort of thing that mueller can use, not because of the mere statement by sanders itself is a crime. but it shows a motive to hide. combined with the other evidence that the president had the intent to obstruct justice. >> this in no way indicates that she could be in any legal trouble. this is clearly an inevitable part of the investigation, they would want to interview the person who is the pr

"say i asked for his resignation, mr. trump repeated." didn't care what the truth was or sean spicer was in the job of telling the truth to the press. >> right. absolutely. that was a major part of this story. the president basically ordered a false story. a false tale to be told to the press. it's very similar to what happened on the tower meeting when they were in the airplane and he dictated his statement about what happened. and very likely what happened in the last few hours. with "the new york times" story that has broken. this is a pattern we've seen. it's very, very distressing to see it because it shows, underlines the fact that you can't really believe anything. on face value.
