skills to give some in the bay area a little more confidence. >> reporter: i am building a better bay area. a group of passionate heche stylists who in general hairdressers are giving, generous spirits. this particular group of stylists has a compassion for their community that offers manicures and makeup services and haircuts to people that are in need. i was realizing the increasing number of homeless people in my community growing. i thought that i have to do something. i didn't have money to give. i asked myself what would it be. the haircut was the most obvious thing to give. i started to call people in the community, all of my stylist friends saying let's do this. to me a haircut in the best of circumstances, we know when we need a haircut. it feels so good to have it done and to have somebody tending to us. for a lot of the folks i serve it is the only touch they are giving and it is a reminder of them rediscovering their self wor worth. >> i think she has created a place for people that otherwise feel uncomfortable coming to a salon or don't have access. she is making it able
