klobuchar: i think you focus on issues. if you have a disagreement with one of the other people on the stage, you make that clear. i did some of that on the health care proposal, where i didn't want to kick 49 million people, half of americans, off of their health care insurance in four years, which is what that bill said. i would rather do a public option. i made a difference when it comes to the different proposals that we all have to pay for college, and i think we hope we -- i hope we have a better discussion and a more thorough discussion on that. i wasn't on that debate night. that was different than ours. ours was a little more cordial. i think you will have different mixes of people. people will have moments throughout the debate. i think break-out moments can come in all different forms. but, we are pleased, we are headed to the debate stage in the fall, our other focus. i know i will make it there based on the polls. we are doing great in iowa and here. building an organization that is strong, and there are a lot

acosta who has a federal prosecutor negotiated a lenient plea deal back in 2008 and one those are amy klobuchar joining us now. >> thanks, wolf. >> so you released a statement calling on secretary acosta to resign in light of the epstein arrest but the details of acosta's involvement in this plea deal, they were revealed by the "miami herald" basically part of a long journalistic investigation, it was all published late last year, why did you and so many others wait for epstein's arrest this week before deciding to push for his resignation? >> you know, i didn't vote for secretary acosta to begin with. so i think that was part of it. a number of us had opposed him from the very beginning as this being one of the reasons, as you know senator kaine asked him about this at the hearing. but i think there has been many new developments since that hearing. the first thing was a federal district court came out and said that that agreement that he had made with epstein's lawyer violated the law. i know as a former prosecutor that you consult with victims, sometimes you have plea agreements, but the law

elizabeth warren who will be at center stage, beto o'rourke and pete buttigieg, also on stage, amy klobuchar, mary ann williamson, montana governor steve bullock will be making his first appearance in a debate. we'll keep a close eye on the match up between warren and sanders. they are friends after all, but they're also vying for some of the same supporters. we know the moderators are going to be looking to draw out the contrast between those two candidates. they also have to contend with the other moderates on the stage seeking to make their own case, saying why their vision is more pragmatic and less costly, than some of the policy plans by sanders and warren. among those match ups, pete buttigieg and beto o'rourke will be interesting to watch because they too are vying for the same lane. of course there's an important thing to remind everyone about here, and that is that for many of these candidates, this is going to be their last chance to make their case. the stakes are very very high for those candidates because the qualifications for the september debates get much tougher and so toni

amy klobuchar, john delaney, john hickenlooper. unlike the miami debate, these candidates will have a chance to give opening and closing remarks. we'll be watching closely the matchup between elizabeth warren and bernie sanders. they're friends and they've signaled they're not likely to go after each other in an aggressive way, but we know they're going to have to draw out the contrast between themselves so they can win over voters. they're trying to win over pretty much the same block of voters, and we know the moderators will be able to make sure they dry out those contrasts. they're also going to have to contend with the moderates on stage, buttigieg and o'rourke who want to show their vision is more practical, more pragmatic, less custly than the proposals being put forth by sanders and warren. and the other question is what are we going to see from the other candidates? folks like klobuchar and steve bullock will they have a stand out moment? remember this is the last chance for a lot of these candidates to catch fire and gain
