let's go to steve rogers. former fbi joint terrorism task force. we have been talking about getting information to the public. it's been hours now since shots rang out. and we still don't have a confirmation from police on the number of fatalities or whether there is a suspect in custody or gunmen on the loose. how troubling is that to you? >> very troubling. as ted williams articulated, it's critically important that the commander on the scene get to that microphone and let people know what's going on. what happens in cases like this, without accurate information coming from the commander on the scene, there will be so much speculation and rumors, people in panic. it just gets out of control. so i am getting concerned they have taken this long to get before that microphone. you learn right away as young police officers, the first thing you want to do without compromising the investigation is to hold a press conference and let people know what's going on. the people in that community have to be on edge. if i lived there, i would have my windows and
