steve: no. and also, brian, whenever you have seen individuals like myself or anyone else that is ernest, engaging in discussion about this, finding solution, we're usually met with a wall of resistance, because people don't really want those conversations. this individual had minimal criminal history. there was also a report of a neighbor who notified police a month ago because he was threatening her with his firearm simply disposing trash in a dumpster. that doesn't sound like a totally stable individual. there is a lot more to learn here. steve: rest of that story, she called police to complain about the guy, firing off the gun off the roof at animals. police went out to look for him, but they could not find his house, apparently could not locate it with the gps. >> yeah. i mean, again, there are some things we need to understand about this individual. there is, as brian was just saying, there is commonalty with this. i hope when our lawmakers, when they go back to d.c., when they come back f

steve: steve why wouldn't you do it ben? >> well as i pointed out in the op-ed, steve, we felt back in those days we had everything we needed to successfully do our jobs. that would include the overwhelming support of the public. i think steve, that is what is missing today. the a lot of law enforcement officers are marking time, waiting to retire or to move on to the next part of their career because they don't feel supported. law enforcement agencies are struggling nationwide not only problems with recruiting new officers but retaining officers who are trained and who can train up the next generation of recruits. so when you don't have the, that system working right, where you have got new talent coming in, being trained by experienced personnel, it can cause a big problem in law enforcement agencies are feeling that. steve: police officers on the street these days they are terrified they will be doing their job, somebody raises up a smartphone and in hd, they record it. and because, you know this, having been in the busin

steve: right. yesterday the president, the first thing he said to mariano i was talking to the first lady why sandman because mariano puts the batter to sleep. and it's like right, mariano. ainsley: got it. got it. steve: that was great. more on that later on. latethe president was very busy, he spent 45 minutes on the stage in rio rancho, new mexico, at the santa ana star center. thousand people in attendance. a state that has voted democrat for a long time. he vows to make it red in 2020. ainsley: can he carry new mexico lost by 8 points in 2016 but mitt romney lost by 10 points in 2012. and he is narrowing the margin. brian: think about this. if new mexico's economy is revitalized because of energy and everybody on the left is talking about wind and solar and immediately transforming all oil and gas and essentially penalizing for it. and then you see the way that new mexico's state economy is thriving, the president thinks he has a pretty strong message. also i think his strategy is pretty clear

steve: very clear. are we currently blocking them sufficiently. >> i don't think were blocking them sufficiently but i will tell you we don't need to have them have any gain anymore for tolls. we need to make certain that where there is huawei equipment that is used in our system and bear in mind what they do is basically get their equipment away and it doesn't matter if you're in central america or south america or over in europe but you will see huawei presents and they say their equipment is very affordable and with 5g coming they will be the leader. why do they want that? because they can capture your data and when they capture your data they capture your virtual you. you and your presence online. we can't transmit sensitive data over their network. steve: obama cyber security guide is helping them do all this? henry, quickly on this point seems to me it's gotten tangled up with a trade war. how do you think it should be handled. do you think it's okay to use huawei from our point of view or are the

steve: right. brian: when you talk about a cover-up, this was put into a place which was cyber security secured. steve: special computers. brian: special computer which was password secured and you could thoroughly understand the administration wanting to guard against interactions that are important for national security because the mexican first the exchange the private phone call was leaked. the australian private phone call was leaked. there was an editorial written in the "new york times." we still don't know the author of it anonymous talked about how bad and chaotic things are behind the scenes. they still don't know who they can trust and can't trust. ainsley: some leakers in the beginning of the administration. the president was probably saying look. brian: file it away. ainsley: file in this n. a classified repository. steve: they started to tighten the security. according to the document that was released yesterday. this is not where they normally put things since then. this was extraord

steve: which is my final point. as you look at where we are at today, you are a member of the house of representatives, what looking at it objectively, what is going to happen with this impeachment inquiry? rep. ryan: i would like to think that some republicans in the senate would come around. i think we passed it in the house. i think we will have a lot of -- most democrats will support it. i think it will go to the senate, and it will be smoke and mirrors, and i think they will circle the wagons, and it will get crushed. they will claim victory. exonerated, and the campaign for trump will say he is exonerated, and the campaign for president will resume. which is why we have to play the strategy of -- who can beat trump in these key states? who has the vision for the future? who can talk to these workers and get them bought in for the future? there is a good chance he will still be around. his base will be super animated, super fired up. i worry if we go into the state saying, we will take your health care, we are

steve: you can see someone waving. the roads go from concrete and asphalt to dirt roads, as we see in franklin grove, illinois. >> yes, once they got to illinois, just west of chicago, the asphalt ended and they were on dirt roads then all the way to san francisco or to california and you could see a problem there was the dust, which was really troublesome but when it rained they had mud. it was one or the other. steve: what is this here? >> this is one truck that overturned. reallyr, the roads were built for horse and buggies so they were quite narrow and the drivers weren't always the most experience. this driver lost control and it landed upside down off the road but they were able to right it and with block and tackle and manpower get it back up on the road. steve: today when you travel cross-country there are hotels and restaurants and a lot of gas stations. what did these folks do? >> they camped out. they had a couple of kitchen wagons so they cooked all of their own meals. their marching orders were to be self-

steve: oh, man. now, richard, when you joined us a couple days ago and you were flying above the storm as well in your gulf stream monitoring dorian, it seemed to be a very come back the and very well defined and very powerful storm. now, as it gets bigger and less organized, is it ease easier or harder to figure out where it's going to go? >> well, it was a -- the problem we had a couple days ago is that the steering current that determined the direction of the storm came to a complete halt, so the environment around the storm had nothing to push it forward. now we do have some steering current, unfortunately, they are moving in a clear northwesterly direction. it's not moving very fast. it's moving about 8 miles per hour. but, the bad news is it doesn't have much room left. it's now even with daytona beach and as it continues to move northwest, you start running out of room between the storm and the south carolina coast. so that's the biggest concern we have right now. ainsley: well, richard hennin

steve: the head of gm making $122 million a year. do you think there should be salary caps for ceos of these companies? rep. ryan: you can have salary caps, increased taxes for the top marginal rate. i think there are a variety of ways to get there, but yes the , company made $35 billion in the last three years. they closed facilities and stock prices go up. they got a huge tax cut and the ceo making $281 million on the -- for every one dollar a person on the factory floor is making. there is a level of unfairness that is gross. it is gross. when you walk the picket line , like i have after the strike happened, and i went from youngstown, to parma, to cleveland in northwest ohio, to detroit, and then to flint, the stories you will hear are people literally driving two hours to get to work and driving two hours home because their family was in cleveland or somewhere a couple hours away and they didn't want to move the kids out of school and the mom or the dad had a decent job. i just want people to know -- they are making $30 an hour
