bernie sanders was just released from the hospital in las vegas. his doctors now confirm he did have a heart attack. let's go to our senior washington correspondent who is watching these developments. >> reporter: senator bernie sanders was released from the nevada hospital as we saw him walking out giving a sign that he's with his wife jane there. saying he's feeling strong and good. we're learning for the first time in a statement from his %-p. we have known for the last couple of days he had a stent that was put in after a procedure but we did not know he had a heart attack. here is a part of a statement from his doctor that the campaign is releasing this evening. it reads after presenting to an outside facility with chest pain, he was diagnosed with a myocardial infarction. that means a heart attack. this will raise questions about when he will get back to work. he did say he is looking forward to getting back to work. he had heart attack at the age of 78 that will linger over his candidacy as we get more information about how severe that was.
