mlb umpires have reportedly agreed to test an automated ball/strike system. in july the independent atlantic league game the first professional baseball league to use it. computer calling balls and strikes. can this work? former contestant johnny day monday. how do you feel about your game gone to replay to get it better, to get it right, to go to a computer to call balls and strikes? >> what i think you really take off the human element of it. you know, if the umpires agree and they vote on it and they want less pressure, that's a different thing. if a pitcher is trying to get a strike on the outside corner and all the sudden he has -- you are rewarding the pitcher on a bad pitch. i think that's going to be very difficult. but, you know, if the umpires vote for it, so be it. then you lose out on the great catchers who call the game like a jason vary tech. he would block the umpire so they couldn't see the pitch on the outside corner or slightly off. so it's something that i really think the major league umpires will have to vote and if there is a unanimous d
