orozco. you mentioned about the wind and we could see power outages. >> absolutely. debris, power outages and toppled trees, that is the type of wind that is coming with the system and a wind advisory is already in place. you could see most of the moisture still over areas of northern california toward the bay area with a few sprinkles right off the coastline. for the most part we do remain dry and cloudy and that will change over the course of the next few hours as the winds continue to pick up and the rain moves in becoming heavy as we get to the second part of the afternoon and evening. some of the winds, 20 mph, hawkeye, 31. and in the east bay, east bay hills anywhere from 15 to 25 mph reported there. multiple advisories are coming along with the storm including the bay area when advisory with the flash flood watch for the kinkaid burn zone and onetouch to 3 feet of new snow expect did in the winter storm warning will go most of the weekend. i will have a timeline and we take a look at y

is go back to meteorologist rosemary orozco with what we can expect tomorrow. the rain has let up thing? >> you're right. it will continue to wind down. there is a beautiful view into san francisco where we will have ice-skating going on there at union square. we are with just a few scattered showers on and off over the course of the night and through tomorrow. nothing like what we saw earlier today. thankfully, that front moves fairly quickly. still bringing a quite bit of a rain. but in preliminary numbers. center is a big app more than two inches, two inches and a third. can't 20th. redwood city almost an inch for you there. san francisco picking up an inch. oakland agents. livermore a little bit more than a third of an inch. san jose for the 400s. we will continue to accumulate and not like anything we have seen over the last day or so. as far as the sierra, anywhere from 6 to 12 inches reported so far. is so the snow will continue to pile up at least through the next 12 to 24 hours or so. a look at the storm. and you can see northern california still in it

rosemary orozco is here to tell us about all of that clear out of the way. so people can get outside. >> yes. even seeing sunshine. it will be a cool one. we will have the possibility o ever a few scattered showers. maybe an isolated thunderstorm or two roll through the bay area and into the afternoon. but for the most part the steadier, heavier rain has moved through. we are seeing delays about 40 minutes or so for some of those flights. something to be aware of. 40-degrees in santa rosa. which is a big improvement from yesterday morning when we dipped below freezing. 48 in oakland. mid 40s in livermore. so we are a bit soggy out there. for the most part, at least for the time being, that rain falling from the sky is primarily over our hills. we will check in on the radar in a moment. if you will be heading out near the coastline for today, there is a beach hazard advisory for areas to the west, north west facing beaches. it goes until tomorrow morning for sneaker waves as well as rip currents. so be careful if you plan on going for a run or taking the dog
