she klobuchar, elizabeth warren brings up gender a lot. amy klobuchar does not. i thought it was really interesting that in the iowa entrance polls elizabeth warren ran third among women voters behind pete buttigieg. behind bernie sanders. and i talked to some women who were caucuses for buttigieg at the caucus i went to, and i was surprised at how forthright they were about their doubts that a woman could win, including one told me, you know, i'm a lot closer on the issues to elizabeth warren than i am to pete buttigieg. but i'm caucusing here for him because i think he could win. >> jackie, that's a real anomaly. because women did -- well, women didn't help put hillary over the top. she lost a lot of moderate republican women in the general, but in the primary women did fuel her candidacy. >> i want to say the one time where amy klobuchar does bring up the fact that she's a woman is when she refers to the glass ceiling he's broken in minnesota. she's the first elected female senator in the state. with hillary clinton as well. really untenable impossible positio

klobuchar down to 13%. take a look at those who were looking for a candidate that can unite the country. this is a third of the electorate today. this is where klobuchar and buttigieg are battling it out. klobuchar gets 31% of voters, looking for a unioniter. buttigieg gets 29% of them. biden at 14, sanders down at 11%, among the group looking for a unioniter. finally, the issue of electability, we talked about it all campaign season long. among those, you saw more than 60% that want a trump defeater, pete buttigieg is winning the argument now. he gets 27% of voters. klobuchar behind him at 21. sanders at 19. look at joe biden. he is down at 13%. this was his strong suit through all of 2019. after you come in fourth place in iowa, this pierces the electability prospect. those are not going with joe biden. >> let's do another key race alert now. 14% of the estimated vote now in. bernie sanders maintaining his lead with 28.3%. pete buttigieg with 22.3%. amy klobuchar 20.4%. elizabeth warren is down in fourth

after strong klobuchar debate. that would cancel buttigieg a little bit, sanders would win, not going away wit but comforta, i will tell you what they be happening. the undecided voters are the deciders, we were at a buttigieg even last night, i was talking with a number of people about what they would do. a fair number of people who claim to still be undecided. a few of them at that even, at least stood out to me, a woman for example, she said, this is about 24 hours ago, well, if election of the now who would you vote for. >> she said, well, i would go for bernie if right now, i said, that does not seem like you want to, she said i down, if mayor pete convinces me, i would go for him. we never caught up with her, i had similar conversations with others, one theft u one -- lefta voicemail, he said i thought about it, i did go for mayor pete, and second person sent an e-mail, said i went for mayor pete that was happening, i found that interesting. it may account for some of the anxiety building up here. neil: they

klobuchar: that is empathy. if you are trying to stretch your paycheck to pay for your rent or in this great place to pay for your tuition, i know you and i will fight for you. if you are trying to decide about where the you feel your refrigerator or fill your prescription drug, i know you and i will fight for you. if you are having trouble deciding do you pay for long-term care for your aging parents that you love so much or childcare for your kids, i know you and i will fight for you. that is about someone that has lived a life where it is not perfect. i have grown up, i had a dad that struggled with alcoholism his whole life and i literally saw treatment changes life. so you wonder why was the first candidate to lead with a major plan for mental health and --atment had this successful career as a journalist and wrote books including will the minnesota vikings ever win the super bowl. sadly it is still relevant today. when he faced that judge he said, i choose treatment. that changed his life. he in his words

klobuchar had that going for her as well. but of course that strong debate, people were hungering to see a strong voice there and elizabeth warren wasn't doing it. >> absolutely. that's the thing, you can see the warren slide and biden slide. you see a lot of the similar characteristics now in the support profile that klobuchar has built. and the other thing, i should mention, too, andrea, just in terms of turnout in the new hampshire primary, put this in perspective, what we saw last night, the turnout in 2016 was about 250,000. with more votes coming in, it just crossed a few minutes ago before i came up here 287,000. that means right now it's on the same level it was in 20 that was the obama/clinton primary. there's a little bit more to come in in new hampshire. i think it's safe to say right now that turnout in the detecti democratic primary in new hampshire will be higher than 2008. it will be higher than that. that's a change from iowa. in iowa, we talked about flat turnout compared to 2016. in new hampshire they're goi

and the dark blue is amy klobuchar, a lot of towns that lean republican, they went to amy klobuchar. that was an interesting dynamic. another key thing, if you started watching the results come, in you noticed the race stayed stat fix for the three candidates throughout the entirety of the night. we always talk about lanes. who's kind of where based on the lanes. take a look at where bernie sanders came in first, second, and third. and you see that almost the entire map fill in. even in places that pete buttigieg won or amy klobuchar won. and that's static between all three candidates. it wasn't that they were just townships that only progressives did well in or moderates did well in, they pretty much, the three, swept the entire map. which makes a problem for two candidates in particular. take a look at elizabeth warren. coming in fourth place. another neighboring state senator from massachusetts not performing overly well on the night. and obviously joe biden, actually having to scroll down to see where joe biden got 8.4%. to underscore what a rough night it was beyond the fact tha
