in redwood city, robert handa, nbc bay area. >> as you heard, san mateo county and san francisco not on the governor's watch list but there are indicators they could soon be. this is why we want to show you. this indicator is the key of how the virus is spreading. that means that no more than ten people out of 10,000 can test positive. this black line, that is the watch list threshold. you can't go over that line. the counties have to stay before it. san mateo, the line in orange, you can see baby low and then, oops, it dips over the line. san francisco is green. same thing. it was below and then it went past the line. so technically they went over the threshold. now, the counties in better shape in terms of hospitalizations, these two counties. the governor says the number of covid hospital patients cannot grow over 10% over three days. it hasn't happened yesterday. these are the counties that are close. look at san mateo right here. campy okay. and in san francisco though the number is a little bit more significant. you can see it here. the numbers continue to rise. these two count
