stephen biggar has covered the banks for more than two decades. he's director of financial institutions research at argus. given the outlook and that we know we are going to see three or four months of the pandemic show up in these numbers, is there room for a slight surprise? stephen: i think there is actually. very noticeably underperformed in the s&p 500 year to date. the financial services sector down 24% versus just 1% for the s&p 500. that is a pretty massive underperformance. they are very inexpensive historically on a price ratio basis. beennk the estimates have lowered to such an extent that there is an opportunity here for maybe some upside. and it is going to require a little bit of cooperation from the economy and the jobs picture from the defaults scenarios that banks have right now with many loans that are likely to be unpaid. you need a little bit of cooperation on that front to move the banks higher and that has been the primary thing that is holding banks back at this point. haidi: we know that revenue streams are much stronger th
