>> reporter: the blake family is here, as i mentioned, justin blake, the uncle of jacob blake, here along with, i think, some of the nephews and cousins also here and they are expected to speak at some point today. they helped organize, actually, this rally, his uncle justin. they were also in d.c. the march on the washington, talking about what they see as police brutality against black folks in this country, saying that it must stop, that they are hoping that jacob blake is the last person who ever has to go through something like this at the hands of police. you also have this other story that is burgeon heing here and t involves a 17-year-old white boy who is named kyle rittenhouse. he is charged with the murder of two people and the attempted murder of a third person here in the streets. he had said that he was coming here on social media to protect businesses. he showed up with a semiautomatic rifle in the streets here and ended up being the only one accused of deadly violence during all of these protests that have gone on now for almost a week now. ana? >> and sara, you know, as we

, jacob blake sr. just speaking there. with laura and abby. laura, i want to follow up on something. there's a lot the police have not said about what initially brought them there. we know there was a domestic disturbance call we are told. the police have said that they actually had tried to use a taser i believe on mr. blake that did not seem to work and then we have seen what happened apparently after that, the entire thing apparently was only a matter of minutes. from the time they arrived to the time that mr. blake ended up being shot and a lot we don't know about what occurred. is that normal? i know the investigation was handed from the kenosha police department over to state authorities but is that normal not to release more information? >> well, auoftentimes the publi doesn't know a lot of information done behind the scenes through an investigative body and outsourced to the greater investigation body outside the area. why? because they have a statute in wisconsin that essentially says they do

blake does not. mr. rittenhouse does. >> let me ask what your thoughts are when you hear these allegations from the police officer's association? >> you know, i think that this is the common strategy that police departments use in the circumstances. always trying to justify misdemeanors. even if jacob did resist an officer or obstruct an officer, just say that is true. the penalty is up to nine months in jail and $10,000 fine. we commonly see in these police brutality cases they try to justify their actions. the world can clearly see and their actions are unjustified and excessive. >> you are here in washington do you know if he was able to watch his family participate in the event and what has been his reaction as far as you know? as patrick explained his medical condition right now is very serious medical concern that he still has and it puts him in a place where he is not able to be conscious enough. he is typically in and out. there may be times that he could be awake to be able to articulate or to h

blake would go towards a case against jacob blake in that particular allegation. it does not go to the use of oforce by an officer deciding to use lethal force in the car. even if officers were aware of the warrant, even if they were aware of the allegations against mr. blake, they still have to justify the use of lethal force in their encounter, in their interaction. if they say it was jacob blake who used a head lock against them, even if he had a knife he was not using deadly force in that capacity. it reminds me of laquan mcdonald case. walked away from officers and one officer chose to use lethal force. why was this done here? the allegation against blake, difficult to actually ascertain and get all the facts. i don't know that case. i'm watching this one. and the officers cannot be excused for making their justification. >> anthony, i want to give you a final word because i know you were jumping in there. >> yeah, first of all, i wanted to give my thoughts and prayers to the family of jacob blake. it's a difficult time for them and it's also a difficult time

blake's shooting led to days of protests in kenosha. tuesday night, two were killed and one wounded on the back end of demonstrations. kyle rittenhouse, 17 years old, is in custody for the shootings, after allegedly shooting and killing the first person, 36-year-old joseph rosenbaum, another male approaches and the defendant turns and begins to run away from the scene, as the defendant is running away, he can be heard saying on the phone, i just killed somebody, according to the criminal complaint. rittenhouse now faces six charges, including first-degree intentional homicide, first-degree reckless homicide, and possession of a dangerous weapon by a person under 18. his attorneys say he was acting in self-defense. but he was not arrested at the scene. even as he walked away with an assault rifle around his neck. >> it might have been abnormal two weeks ago, it's no longer abnormal. >> that 17-year-old caucasian shot and killed two people and blew another man's arm off. on his way back to antioch, illinois. he got to go home. my son got
