the blue county on the eastern border of nebraska. it went by a very narrow margin to hillary clinton back in 2016. josh, as i talk about covid being important issue for voters in these counties when you look at nebraska, the positivity rate is up 22%. they're at 22% positivity rate in the entire state. almost 1 out of every 4 tests is coming back positive. still very much a real issue for that state. >> that's right, sandra. omaha isn't just a swing area, but it allocates biden or trump. trump is trying to make a play for the electoral vote in omaha. that's a suburban area that has gone toward the democratic party. it is looking favorable to joe biden. it is also in the western iowa media market. iowa is also a competitive battleground this year and whenever trump visits omaha and that part of nebraska, you get media coverage in iowa as well. so i think there is sort of a two-fer in what the president is looking to do by being in omaha today. >> sandra: the if -- few seconds. as biden heads to georgia and two stops there. home of atl

why travel to nebraska on sunday for one electoral college vote. well, that is a district that includes omaha. it's leaning towards biden right now. it's a point that trump won in 2016. and again, there are scenarios at play here where things could get so close that this election could be determined by a single electoral college vote. for example if the president holds everything else from 2016, but loses michigan, wisconsin, arizona and that one nebraska congressional district, joe biden would win by one point. but one other thing i want to note here, i'm in michigan and obviously the coronavirus is such an issue. the hospitals are starting to get at capacity in some parts of the state here. they're seeing the highest level since may. and that's definitely a factor that's buried down the president but there's also still the economy. in a place like michigan that suffered through a brutal recession a few years ago, that fear of losing your job and losing your home is still very real. as far as strategy, you'll see much more emphasis from the presid

he cut the taxes for billionaires, you just heard him saying in nebraska, why nebraska of all places? he is not looking for that one electoral college vote unless it is going to be important. that tax cut was really for billionaires and corporations and therefore when biden says he will raise taxes, he will put corporate taxes backed up to 28%, not even just 35. it's currently at 21 which means billionaires are not paying any taxes and that is why biden is promising that now because he didn't get around to it. we saw another black man dead at the hands of police, more black lives matter protesters on the streets which may well be a tragedy there but it is a problem for your party, isn't it? many voters are concerned about so—called law and order issues and it makes it easier for them to listen to mr trump when he says for them to listen to mr trump when he sastoe biden is to the left of him and you cannot trust him. i think this one in particular is a difficult one for democrats. i will not pretend to know all the information, i have only seen one video, but the one video does seem
