>> no, don. not even his own staff really is clear as to what was behind this because when the president put out that video last night threatening to derail this, they were shocked. very few people knew that the president even made that video and recorded it. so if you spoke to people over the last several days, a lot said they didn't know if there was a strategy at all and to what was behind the president's push for these $2,000 stimulus checks. now it will go up for a vote in the senate. why did the president push for this sooner? if this was something he wanted, he never made it clear during the negotiations going on for weeks. a lot of people said maybe the president just wanted attention during this. and, so, if he actually had wanted the $2,000, he didn't push for it very much. it left people unhappy that he had given up so quickly. if you talk to people around the president, no one is happy with how this has worked out or this path that the president had chosen to pursue was. >> yeah it. i
