this is pg&e base camp in scott valley right now. no major outages reported in boulder creek, some of the mountain areas, but that could just be a matter of time. we've been expecting rain, but look at what fell in the santa cruz mountains just above saratoga. this was exciting. several inches of snow fell along highway 35 just before highway 9. but heavy rain is the concern in the mountain communities near the czu fire scar. this is video from overnight from boulder creek. the charred hillsides barren of vegetation are now vulnerable to landslides, debris flow and flooding. also the charred land doesn't absorb the water as quickly. even as rain started to fall, crews were cutting branches hanging over homes, repairing power lines that were down over highway 9 and about 5,000 people left their homes in the danger zone. but 261 people are digging in and they are staying put. >> if you found yourself with a medical emergency, our response to be significantly delayed. it's not that we don't want to, there could be a road closed or a tre
