i'm chris hayes. there are eight people dead in the atlanta area after a horrifying spree shooting last night at three different locations, three different spas. the suspect is in police custody and we know some of the victims' names. delaina ashley yaun, xiaojie tan, daoyou feng, paul andre michels. seven out eight victims were women. six of the eight were of asian descent. south korean consulate in atlanta confirmed that four of the eight victims were ethnic koreans and don't know the nationalities. the rampage began around 5:00 p.m. yesterday at young's asian massage in acworth. four people were killed there. and about 45 minutes later, officers responded to gold spa in at least atlanta where they found three women killed. while officers were on that scene, shots were fired across the street at aromatherapy spa, found one woman killed there. police arrested 21-year-old robert aaron long following a manhunt yesterday evening charging him with eight counts of murder and a count of aggravated assault.

i'm chris hayes. we now know that in the mob that stormed the capitol on january 6th pushing into the building and fighting the police was at least one trump political appointee. an active employee of the trump state department. on that day his name is fredrico klein. he was a special assistant in the bureau of western hemisphere affairs. tech analyst on the 2016 it campaign. then join the state department as a staff assistant with the trump transition team. according to the affidavit as of january 6th the day this all went down, the insurrection, klein also had an active top secret security clearance. that same 16-page fbi affidavit published today by "the new york times" reveals that klein was present in some of the most grisly, violent, upsetting scenes at the capitol at january 6th. this image captured by surveillance cameras shows klein in the red maga hat along with other members of that insurrectionists mob entering a tunnel that leads to the doors of the capitol building. you might remember th

good evening from new york, i'm chris hayes. some fascinating, revealing new federal filings unsealed today that shed new light on the january 6 insurrection. two and a half months after a mob guided by donald trump, in fact invited to the capitol and violently attacked the u.s. capitol, it's becoming more and more clear for many of the insurrectionists this was more than a moment of passion, this was a plan. officials estimate several hundred people actually entered the capitol, and so far there have been more than 300 arrests. in fact it's hard to keep track of, more and more and more every day. there's no question if you look at the video that we all have access to or some of these arrest records that some of the people made a spur of the moment decision to follow the crowd inside, but there were people there who had that plan from the beginning. and so today, federal prosecutors unsealed conspiracy charges against four leaders of the proud boys for their alleged role in planning the attack. you remember the proud boys, of co

i am chris hayes. tonight, we are learning more about some of the eight victims of that horrific-shooting spree in the atlanta area, on tuesday. 33 years old, a wife and mother to two children. she and her husband mario were at young's asian massage tuesday for a relaxing-spa day. just to get a little time to themselves. when the shooting began, they were in two different rooms. mario was able to lock himself inside one of those rooms, and escape, uninjured. family members described alana as their rock, who always welcomed people into her home and threw the best birthday and holiday parties. paul andre michaels, age 52, was a veteran from the u.s. army infantry. described by his brother as a hard-working local business owner. even working as a handyman at the spa, building shelves there on tuesday afternoon when the shooting took place. michaels leaves behind his wife of more than 20 years. 49-year-old tan was the owner of young's asian massage and at least one other spa in the area. she was a licensed

i'm chris hayes. it looks like it is happening. the most shockingly aggressive rescue bill of my lifetime is very likely to be signed into law. saturday after an all-night session, senate democrats passed the $1.9 trillion covid relief package in a strict party line vote. because senators made some changes to the bill, it now has to go back to the democratic controlled house which is expected to pass the identical senate version this week, possibly as early as tomorrow. so the bill would then go to the president, president biden for his signature. we're in the early part of march. not the 100-day marker yet. this is an incredible victory for both the country, the biden administrationings the democratic party which held together. they didn't get a vote in either house. they tried to break the party apart. that's bryns did by forcing tough votes on amendments and arguing against the bill in public. democrats won. and as a result, a lot of people's lives are going to get better. >> by passing this plan we would have delivered real tan
