rob marciano has been keeping an eye on the severe weather. good morning, rob. >> like deja vu. just two days ago we had this tornado outbreak, and that system went up to the northeast with winds and severe weather. dropped a tornado in middlebury, vermont, and strong winds in north buffalo taking down trees like this, and i think we'll see a similar setup here, and because of that, the national weather service issued numerous high wind alerts through the adirondacks and the moiuntains f northern new england. as we go through the afternoon, and the low gets closer, these winds will wind up along with some rain. gusting 15 to 25, maybe 30 or 40 miles per hour as the thing kind of accelerates into the overnight hours. this will happen overnight, and kind of be a scary night in some spots, and we may see trees and power lines down before tomorrow morning. that's a check on what's happening nationally. time for a look at your local forecast. >>> so more wind coming up for the northeast, dan, and hand on the toupee. >> got to keep this thing in tight. >> exactly. >> i moved to kind o

rob marciano has the latest. >> reporter: overnight, severe storms sweeping through the southeast and mid-atlantic. ickel-sized hail crashing down in west virginia and in north carolina, a monstrous thunderstorm moving southeast producing a rain ramped tornado taking down trees and utility poles, the same storm responsible for the intense winds in burlington, flipping this school bus on its side. in south carolina, ominous clouds looming over ft. mill as tornado sirens blare and heavy rain comes down. resulting in severe flooding in charleston. this as central alabama tries to recover from the st. patrick's day tornado outbreak. >> when you lose everything that you worked so hard for, oh, my heart hurts for these people. >> reporter: the national weather service confirming an ef-2 tornado with winds reaching 130 miles per hour touching down in chilton county, alabama. still rainy and windy here in raleigh, north carolina. the severe weather threat is done. nearly three dozen reported tornadoes in three days across eight states, no fatalities or serious injuries. i will take that. ging

rob marciano is in denver where hard to belie yeerday we had temperatures over 70 degrees across some northern sta here we are again in front of another big pile of sand, and i wish i could say it was the beach, but this will be used along with a fleet of plows to take care of 3,000 miles of roadways in denver. it's march. it's late season, but this is when colorado gets its big snowstorms. this is likely to be a big blockbuster, if not historic. one to two feet. the denver metro i-25, not just the mountains talking about ft. collins, boulder, cheyenne and 2 to 4 feet, so front loaders like this, will carry this snow out of here. we saw snow not far from here, i-70, where there was a wreck late last night. precursor snow. long duration event. that is the key for denver often the snow comes in quickly and leaves. sun comes out and melts. this will start tonight, the big show lasting all weekend long with wide-ranging impacts not just here in colorado but across much of the central u.s. and ginger will have more about that in just a few, guys. >> it affects everybody. all right, rob, th
