that was andrea constand. it was all related to an incident that happened in 2004 when andrea constand was a temple university employee, which she accused him of drugging her and sexual assaulting her in his home in 2004. the statute of limitations was a big part of this case as well. just doing a quick google to our previous reporting and this was an article from june of 2020 when the pennsylvania supreme court allowed bill cosby's team to appeal his conviction. at the time it said there were two issues in which he was able to appeal this case. one had to do with the prior bad act witnesses, some of those other accusers who testified about alleged assaults that weren't directly a part of andrea constand's case. the oh issue focused on the prior district attorney's decision at the time not to charge bill cosby a decade ago when this happened to andrea constand. how common are the prior bad act witnesses? is it typical for people if this is one of the reasons why the pennsylvania supreme court is saying this co

andrea? >> and peter baker, this procedural vote on hr-1, it seems destined to fail. there's a lot of intrigue on the democratic side as progressives are hoping that opposition from senate republicans could push joe manchin to agree to a one-time filibuster suspension to get this one thing through. >> reporter: yeah, they've been hoping that joe manchin would change his mind on that and joe manchin has said again and again that he won't. so, you know, at some point you're going to have to hear whether or not he's going to live up to what he says. the idea here, of course, is to put republicans on the spot and put joe manchin on the spot. he has said not only does he not want to get rid of the filibuster but doesn't want to weaken it, which he could do with the one-time legislation. he will be put to the test in that sense. it's an awkward week in that sense for him, obviously in the democratic caucus where he's faced a lot of pressure, especially from the progressive left, which is frustrated

so, andrea brought up helsinki, jonathan. you were there in 2018, the trump/putin summit and made headlines with this question to president trump. >> president putin denied having anything to do with the election interference in 2016. every u.s. intelligence agency concluded that russia did. my first question is who do you believe? >> i have president putin, he just said it's not russia. i will say this, i don't see any reason why it would be. i do want to see the server, but i have -- i have confidence in both parties. >> jonathan, clearly you had a front-row seat to the former president and putin's differential relationship. describe the differences you see in how biden will approach vladimir putin. jonathan? did we lose jonathan? yeah. give me your sense of that. >> what you saw there was really something that was so striking. it was former president trump taking the side of a russian president who was our adversary, who was meddling in our elections, and meddling is a nice way to put it. he was trying to influence our ame
