christy smith joins with us the castro valley story. >> reporter: yeah. we're told this happened around 6:00 last night right here behind me in castro valley, that a woman was waiting for her package to be delivered and got an alert that hit arrived. this is according to the owner of the complex. a short time later, that woman was being hit repeatedly. we're told that she came out and couldn't find the package and saw an amazon driver and questioned her about the package and was told to be patient. then of course the encounter escalated and turned violence, with the woman getting hit repeatedly. there are two angles of this with security cameras. according to the complex opener, the exchange that led to this was the woman was told to be patient shelf baited 15 minutes for a package and noticed driver talking with another delivery person. then she asked about her package again. she said the driver said something about white privilege, not getting the package there any faster. the 67-year-old woman called her a name and that's when it escalated. >> i think
