golden gate bridge is one. you will see why the wind is going to get noticeably stronger when i get to the futurecast. you can see the screen light up. first here is the wind advisory from noon until 8:00, everywhere in tan has it. it's the coast for surerth tain willwindy through sa rosa and petaluma, just not strong enough for the wind advisory. you will notice the breeze. windy in the city and along the san mateo coast. we are already hitting 40-mile per hour gusts at sfo. 680, 580, all these inland valleys are going to feel this with 40-mile an hour gusts andk it heads down the coast. here we are already feeling it on the coast. you see the bright colors. as i take it from where we are and play this forward, you see the screen light up. purples are gusts into the 40 to 45-mile per hour range and i have the trouble spots in the red boxes to show you where the front lines are when we get on shore wind event like this. this is not to say it's not windy in other places. hayward, that's a gust near 30 at times.

in fact, the golden gate bridge is crystal clear this morning as we replace that cool sea breeze with the warm and dry southerly wind. that is going to cut off that ocean flow and keep conditions really, really hot. these next few days highpressure built well back into the picture now. and that's going to keep us dry and sunny as well. heightened fire danger can be expected these next few days. a bit of good news in the fact that we don't have any major winds ahead of us. that's that 3rd factor that really ups fire danger. but we're continually dry and now continuously high and that just means fire danger is going to be increased because of those 2 factors alone. now excessive heat warnings in pink taking effect at 11:00am today for portions of marine sonoma napa solano alameda and contra costa counties as for the south bay and much of the peninsula will have heat advisories during the same time frame. now daytime highs today will push upwards into the 60's and 70's at the coast still comfortable for coastal spots obviously a respite. for those of you that need to get out of the 80's

there's the golden gate bridge can see a bit of it. we've seen a mix of clouds and sunshine along the coastline. north bay is the densest of marine layer areas like point rays as well as or upper elevations up in sonoma county have been in the midst of some dense fog and also a little bit of coastal drizzle in those areas low pressure not having budge to our west and a high pressure ridge still built up to our east where at least tapping into that cool. coastal breeze. and at times a little bit of fog and drizzle near the coast inland portions of the state like the central valley still in the 90's. so we've got quite the wide range of temperatures across the state right now. we're being rescued by the cool sea breeze may be a nuisance sometimes, but we can appreciate it. keeping us out of those hotter conditions 60's for your highs in san francisco and elsewhere right along the coastline today while temperatures right along the bay shore, mostly in a range of 70's foster city at 75 saying carlos redwood city down through mountain view
