maria medina is live at the san jose police department, the very latest. >> reporter: that little boy now identified as seven-year- old liam husted. his body dumped in a nevada desert, and now, the police and the fbi on the hunt for his mother. in just a short while ago, please identified his mother as samantha moreno rodriguez. here is a police have pieced together so far. the 35-year-old and her son liam left san jose on may 24th. they were seen in laguna beach, and then victorville, california, on the 26th. two days later, his body was found by hikers right outside las vegas near the mountain springs trailhead. police were then able to trace rodriguez halfway across the country in colorado. here is what police said just a short while ago. >> the last contact that anyone has seen of samantha is at a denver area hotel room on the 31st of may when she checked in by herself to a hotel room in the denver area. at this point, there is about an hour ago we obtained an arrest warrant nationwide extradition for open murder, for samantha marano rodriguez. >> this is the car she was seen driv
