excessive heat watch for areas in red for sacramento valley, san jouquin valley and solano county. this is thursday morning through saturday evening. sun set at 8:33 and sunrise at 5:47 tomorrow morning, temperatures are around where we should be, low 60s along the coast, mid to upper 70s to low 80s inland with sunshine. thursday will be the peak of our heat. so we are warming up more wednesday and especially thursday with likely record breaking highs expected. triple digit heat thursday afternoon for concord, danville, livermore, 90s for south bay in san jose, more comfortable with the ocean breeze in san francisco in the mid 70s. you see for the north bay with thursday for the peak of the heat 100 in santa rosa, 105 in fairfield. along the coast with on shore flow in the upper 60s for bodega bay. we are warming tuesday and there we go with 90s to triple digits wednesday and especially on thursday inland. temperatures are slightly cooler as we look to the end of the week but still warm to hot conditions as we look to friday and for the weekend. back to you. >> we'll keep an eye on

that's right on the heels of the santa clara valley water district boards. a recent water emergency the city of morgan hill here has now declared a water shortage of its own with some new restrictions to tell you about. let's take a look. the sign here out front of the morgan hill community center is flashing the news that the city council has declared a level 2 water supply shortage. the days appear numbered for lush green grass like this. the city council's action means residential and commercial customers will be restricted to watering their lawns and landscaping to 2 days per week effective immediately odd-numbered addresses may water on mondays and thursdays. well, even number addresses can water on tuesdays and fridays under the ordinance a level 2 water supply shortages defined by the need to reduce consumer demand for water but 21 to 40%. mayor rich constant time. >> well in the last drought morgan hill, resident stepped believe that the valley water has this to say about 20 to 25% and morgan hill where that was the leader in throughout the county. w

the interior valleys. maybe the tri valley in the concord early on into the delta tomorrow morning and some drizzle along the coastline and then slowly pulling back as we head through the day to bring a lot of sunshin- in libya for this fog starts to return. once again. so the pattern actually setting up pretty nicely headed in the 4th of july moist flow. and that's really what we want. that help to suppress the fire danger, get a lot of moisture in the atmosphere that helps keep things down, still very dry out there. you've got to be extra careful. things are extremely dry in the drought conditions and certainly a fire could spread if it starts temperature wise. we've got some 70's around much of the south bay by tomorrow afternoon about 70 degrees in san jose about 88 degrees in livermore unconquered about 18 79 in the napa valley about 62 degrees in san francisco next few days. the high pressure starts to weaken ever so slowly. i think that will help to deepen that marine layer. so we're looking at some

tri-valley, 56. and those 50s are also returning through the east bay, san francisco and the north bay. daytime highs are not going to disappoint. as we roll through the afternoon, we're a little bit below average here for a few spots. this will bring us to 73. 77 in aekt san jose. and 73 in gilroy. for the east bay, after 107 last week in livermore and concord, you are both at 77 so that is a lot more doable. very nice. over to martinez. 70. oakland, 69 degrees. 64 in daly city. san francisco will stay chilly across the board. 60s from downtown. and right through the north bay, got you at 66 in mill valley. 74 here in santa rosa. now, the one thing that might be bothering you with that afternoon sea breeze kicking up is your allergies. pine, oak, olive, cedar, grasses, all in the moderate category. so if you are sniffling and sneezing, might be your allergies. but of course, check all those symptoms with covid, still, with us. on our seven-day forecast, san francisco, we do warm it up sunday and mon

but i think if you're in the salinas valley, you may see some of that smoke drain into the valleys in the morning hours. we'll be watching that closely for the air quality impacts from the fire burning from the south. on the coast, low clouds thickening up as we head toward the morning. patchy low clouds moving locally inland as well. this sets the stage for a cooling trend that will finally kick in for parts of the east bay tomorrow. so morning temperatures in the upper 50s as we start the day, and our high temperatures tomorrow much more comfortable than a couple days ago now down into the low to mid-80s for san jose and morgan hill. more in the 80s possible toward livermore. you can see concord towards fairfield, mid-80s in the forecast. temperatures seeing 70s and 80s. look at the north bay temperatures, a combination of upper 70s to low 80s, and this trend as you see tuesday on into wednesday should continue as we continue to get that ocean air-conditioning. lots of clouds on the coast. one thing to watch out for fire danger on the northern sierra up here near shasta might see so
