the department of public health guidelines that came out -- i want to say kind of mid-to-late july -- really are aligned with the centers for disease control and the california department of health guidance. the priority for the guidelines was for a full return for in-person learning for all grades at full capacity. highlights of the guidelines are the idea that students and staff must self-screen at home and stay home if ill. that means we're no longer doing screenings at school sites. everyone must wear face masks, even if fully vaccinated, at all facilities. physical distancing is no longer required. and during wildfires, or other times when air quality is poor, we prioritize maintaining healthy air indoors and we can keep doors open, even if close our windows, if we continue to wear our masks. next slide, please. next slide, please. thank you. there a what's allowed section in the guidelines, which is really helpful because it points out some things that are now allowed, that were not allowed in the spring. so parents and care-givers may enter the building to pick up and drop off,

operational command with the department of health. is the longest one i've been involved in but we also deal with tornadoes, hurricanes, and every other disaster that may happen statewide. we have not lost our abilities to respond to those during this event. we have 60 plus days of stockpiled in our state emergency and logistical operations center warehouse. we've issued over 62 issues of personal protection equipment to those hospitals, long-term care facilities, and others that might need it. that relates to 9400 deliveries that we have made throughout the state since this time. since july 1, where 2 million items of ppe distributed throughout the state and about 380 of those we have delivered to make it happen. we have also --the governor spoke about us receiving the 19 vendors. that was a quick turnaround and great to see the private sector came onboard very quickly and had a lot of questions. we got those answered and we have a joint team. we will get those on the street as quickly as possible. we have already spoken about the di

the state department of health is reporting a positivity test rate of 6.4% over the last 7 days. there were 10,000 newly reported cases just thursday alone. covid cases continue to rise across the state and bay area. hospitals are seeing their own employees contract. the virus as of friday 55 out of 7,000. san francisco general hospital employees are out sick with coronavirus. none are hospitalized, but they are in quarantine at home. hospital officials say the transmission wasn't on the job but through community spread as of general doctors say the cases are reflective of what's happening in the area. the latest numbers show 210 people are hospitalized with covid-19 in alameda county, a 149 are hospitalized in contra, costa county, a 113 covid patients have been admitted to hospitals in santa clara. and there are 91 covid patients in san francisco medical centers. a vast majority of cases are people who have not received a vaccine according to data from the kaiser family foundation. just one 0.4% of current cases are among fully vaccinated. people as of general says, despite the
