taylor riggs joins us. taylor, good morning. my deepest sympathies. taylor: thank you for having me. tom: let's get right to it. if you look at the standard deviations, of this equity market, two days in a row, we break out. lisa: a jump condition and production as analysts trying to increase all of their projections. the interesting thing to me is the yawning gap between some of the predictions. a 27% differential between the bears and the bulls for s&p protections. -- s&p projections. to give you a sense of how much uncertainty there is on wall street. tom: normally abramowitz wouldn't do that, but she does it for taylor riggs. taylor, how do you link the bar markets -- link the bond markets with the great bull market? taylor: i keep hearing calls that the yields have to go higher and then you have auctions like the 10 year option and it seemed like there is no alternative, not only when you talk about the equity market but them on market as well. it is foreign buyers as well that are keeping these yields low. yields feel pretty anchored despite the

taylor: is stagflation a risk? geoffrey: in the short-term, stagflation is something we really have to monitor right now. the labor markets will stabilize. what sets the u.s. apart from the u.k. in china is there is additional fiscal stimulus, through. we have support coming through. you can have that organic inflation. in the rest of the world a think there's going to be greater stagflation risk. tom: frame where yields are right now we had a guest on recently lisa abramowicz who has been really good about expanding the range of the 10 year yield. is there a collar that you are paying attention to with the u.s. 10-year? geoffrey: it all goes back to the potential growth. these longer-term rates. are bond yields basically repositioning expectations? we should not expect longer-term inflation to be high anyway, so basically, markets have long-term growth expectations. 10-year yields are reflecting that. if it is economic or psychological, the tail wags the dog there. i don't think that is the right approach. we shou

the dollar is bid, taylor. taylor: indeed it is. we are off by about 0.6%, a little bit of that dollar strengthening. it is a concern about if the fed starts to move a little bit sooner than we think. we know one report doesn't change the game, but a lot of comments now about why are we in emergency conditions if the emergency is over. so that pull forward is certainly what might be moving the dollar today. let's climb our way up. bond yields, does eight basis points get you excited, too? this is a one-day move, back up to 1.94% as we try to i that 2% level on the 30 year. we see the nasdaq 100 getting hit the hardest. it is a dow jones, s&p kind of day. it is a russell 2000 kind of day as we think about some of the travel and reopening stocks underway. guy: absolutely. i am excited about that move, but it is interesting it has been going on for a couple of days. it's the bond market. of course you've got to be excited. but it happened a couple of days ago as well. we have seen this swift turnaround in terms of the narrative. rich c

taylor: i'm taylor riggs. romaine: stocks in the ready, -- closing about that 100 day moving average, and a lot of the focus now, once the earnings come in, we got those nvidia earnings, we will walk you through that talk about the chip shortage and how that feeds into a lot of other areas of the economy. the crisis showing some signs of easing but times are still lengthy, 20 weeks from the time you order one to when they show up. we will talk about what is going on with pc's and with taylor. taylor: the second quarter margins, even the bottom line looks really good for the second quarter, you push forward to the third quarter, also looking at third-quarter revenue of $6.8 billion, 2%. and a lot of this deals with -- and this deal, cfos still confident in the deal but they are taking longer than we thought. we want to do more with the research analyst, it's interesting when you see data center avenue gaining, visualization revenue outperforming estimates except for automotive revenue which continues to lag. wh

taylor: you had educate, next up, china. it is interesting the editor of the global times, the state run media commented then and hinted that china is not as arrogant as the americans to swoop in. they are not so sure that they would go in. argue for the case for why they need stability for the belt and road initiative to stan and what economic interests they have in afghanistan -- through paskistan. ian: the chinese are not about to take the baton and send tens of thousands of troops on the ground in afghanistan. no question about that. but they are the major power in the region now that will be most affected by the fact that the taliban, the taliban are a failed state. so we already see chinese leaders that are sort of throwing promises of diplomatic support and eventually economic investment into afghanistan. and chinese have been killed, a bus in pakistan because they are seen as too active on the ground. this is going to be a problem for china going forward, no question. caroline: closer to home, you mentioned that most
