there's no question that today in the united states the right wing and white supremacist violence is a much greater risk. the united states has devoted a lot of resources to fighting jihadist terrorists overseas, and done so successfully. and the cia and nsa have helped keep us safe, i strongly agree with that. but we're very late to the game as the right wing threat has started to surge, and making this more difficult because it is in the united states, much of the effort needs to be done at the state and local level. it is a different resource allocation. making it more complex is of course is the interaction of violence with political issues, in the united states. this makes it not only a complex counterterrorism problem but a complex political problem. highlighting the issue on the terrorism front, that would be the one that i would highlight. >> thank you, mr. grant? >> i would agree and i would add one additional challenge as we look at the rising threat from white nationalists and white supremacists is that that had, until relatively recently -- it's obviously a challenge that
