(somber music) - this was a forest just a few months ago. this coop, the whole area that's to be logged here is 40 hectares, or about 100 acres. in the tarkine there's currently 159 coops targeted for clear fall logging. the loggers drive a road into the wilderness, then they clear cut it, cut everything down. having removedhe logs they want, firebomb it, and that eliminates the whole of the native ecosystem. (helicopter whirring) the reason for the firebombing is to create a heat so intense that nothing native can survive, so it won't compete with the artificial plantation they're going to replace this with. end of ecosystem, end of these
