i never thought of my kitchen sponge is being made from plastic. i don't know why, never thought of it that way. i do notice little pieces kind of break off and they are going down the drain. that's pieces of plastic and they are going right into our waterways where they become b microplastics and we are ingesting thisti stuff. the plastic is getting into the fish were eating and we are ingesting it. plastic is a huge problem instead of sponges there's all these great rushes now and they are making sponges out of walnut shells. that's a big part of this conversation that we are having. there is so many great alternatives. we have ziploc bags which everybody uses small and large sizes and now they are all kinds of silicon reasonable bags. there's a company called set-top which i personally love. you can use them over and over again they are super easy to wash out. i love these companies that are coming up with these great alternatives. t up course that's the power that we have as consumers to support these companies and make the changes that we need
