if that happens, that will mean any senior republican, anybody who is, you know, the top republican on a committee right now, or who used to be a committee chair, the last time republicans were in charge, all top republicans, all leading republicans are gearing up to p take back over and wield power again under the assumption s they're going to do well in next year's elections. particularly being a committee chair, if you're in line for that sort of thing, committee chairs, a boring couple of words, but they kind of run the show on capitol hill. they kind of run the legislative branch. so the republicans who are potentially in line for those leadership jobs, if the republicans take control again, they are really stoked right now. they are making their promises. they are raising money. they are planning their staff hires. they are doing all the horse oi trading they need to do among themselves to maximize the powers they think they are about to get. it is a really heady time. if you are a republican expecting your party to take back control and you expect to t be one of the power broker

and i heard with my colleague on the republican side -- what my colleague on the republican side said but i want to assure everyone that what we're talking about here is making sure our seniors can access a doctor. that there are doctors available to help them during the covid-19 pandemic. since the beginning of the pandemic, congress has provided relief to medicare providers by waiving a 2% cut in payments created as part of sequestration. this legislation will continue waiving those cuts. it also protects medicare and other federal programs by preventing any cuts from occurring as a result of pay-go results. the legislation provides additional relief to health care providers by increasing payments under medicare's physician fee schedule next year and increasing reimbursements for lab and oncology services. we have to understand that provide verse to keep their doors open. labs have to be open. during this difficult time when providers are being stretched to the limit, labs, oncology service, everything is being stretched to the limb if congress does not take action now and pass this
