one man is in custody suspected of killing his girlfriend and teenage son in antioch. officers discovered the two people dead in an apartment not far from antioch high school saturday night. the man was arrested a short time later in redwood city . his name has not yet been released. 40 year old cold case in monterey county has been reopened in 1982 at the age of five, and fam left her seaside home and headed off to kindergarten. but never arrived . her body was found two days later in a ditch just about two miles from her house. the district attorney's office says she was murdered and sexually assaulted. last week, the monterey county district attorney's office cold case task force reopened the case. although extensively investigated by federal and local law enforcement, a definitive suspect was never identified. the fam family deserves justice in this grant will give us the best opportunity to solve this case and many more. the monterey county da's office cold case task force was awarded with a $525,000 grant for the use of dna technology in cold case investigations.
