bay mountains and then all the way through wednesday and then through the east bay hills and this is kind of the peak right here from late tuesday and wednesday with 50 mile-per-hour gusts in the mountains and plan on a 15 mile-per-hour breeze for the most of us. this is a bit of a breeze in the lower elevations but it will be gusty in the mountains where it will dry up those hills a little more and with no rain in the forecast, let's look at where it will rain. we will take this system here and you can see the accumulated rainfall. anywhere it rains between now and february 9 that is how long we take the model can see nothing here and that dominant ridge of high pressure with deep shades of red, watch what happens by the time we get toward february 9 and we know it won't rain until then but as we get toward that period it is almost like the atmosphere doubles down on this idea of this blocking ridge of high pressure. so for the next seven days we know nothing happens rainfall wise and we do get a few offshore wind events in the mountains and we really have to wait for the second hal

bay mountain tops 40 miles per hour at peak near the coast and in the north bay. so this is something that could interrupt your plans today. a little bit still want you to get out there. just don't be surprised by the winds, 40's and 50's for most of our current temperatures. things are starting to move as far as temps go under all that sunshine, which is going to set us up for an afternoon well into the 60's. it has been friday light to say the least today on our roads. look at the bay bridge. this is your dream commute right here. 8 minutes from the maze to fremont street. a mateo bridge is also doing quite well. a few cars on it, but that's just the way it goes at the san mateo bridge, richmond center fell pretty empty. a 7 minute drive over it and nothing blocking you as you get to the toll plaza and the golden gate bridge also looks great with a 20 minute drive over the span. still tracking what is a significant backup that is formed 80. we had 2 incidents, an accident in fremont and then a stalled big rig over in hayward and the residual delays from both of

we did have gusty winds across the north bay mountains today. 20 to about 50 miles per hour. same thing for the sierra. thankfully we had that rain in december or we would be talking about fire danger right now. then you can see as we roll through tomorrow any kind of mountain wind is going to be gone. we're looking at winds from 5 to about 15 miles per hour. so let's get you to the overall weather pattern. it certainly has been pretty dynamic here across the bay area the past couple of days. wee an area of high pressure keeping temperatures on the mild side, a little above average. this area of low pressure, talk about stubborn. this thing has been here the past few days. it's not going anywhere tonight. it's going to stay with us through tomorrow and that's where we're getting these clouds from. there's no rainfall from this, but once again we're not going to see the sunniest of days as we head at least into tomorrow's forecast. we'll start off with temperatures in the 40s. got you down to 40 in the tri-valley, peninsula 44, south bay coming in at 45. we'll begin with nice
