bart police has the met. you kron 4 news. >> a former air force sergeant has admitted to murdering a federal security guard in oakland. and today the guard's family is sending a message to his killer after steven carrillo pleaded guilty to killing david patrick underwood. underwood's a sister called carrillo a, quote, domestic terrorist and a coward while also asking for the minimum sentence of the maximum sentence. carrillo told the judge that he went to the may 2020 protests to quote harm law enforcement at the time underwood was guarding the federal building in oakland. carrillo is also charged with murdering a sheriff's deputy in santa cruz. investigators say a week after the shooting in oakland carrillo ambushed a law enforcement in santa cruz county who were responding to a report of a van containing firearms and bomb-making materials. sergeant damon gutzwiller was killed and several other law enforcement officials were hurt. >> let's take a live look outside now on this friday. late working into early
