i'm dion lim and i'm dan ashley now. this news comes one day after investigators announced the death of gabe's ex-boyfriend identifying him as a suspect in her disappearance and death abc 7 news reporter karina. nova joins us live from the newsroom with more on this story karina. well today, are hearing more from alexis gabe's parents who shared the conversation they had with the suspect's family. that suspect was alexis's ex-boyfriend. we've been covering this case for months the 24 year old woman from oakley has not been seen since january wednesday night. alexis's ex-boyfriend marshall curtis. jones was killed by officers. washington state when they tried to arrest him at his new home jones was charged with alexis gabe's murder police say he was the last person who saw her among the evidence oakley police discovered was a cell phone case found near where jones used to live in antioch. the phone case belonged to alexis and according to police had jones dna on it now her parents tell abc 7. they spoke to jones' mother w

i'm dan ashley and i'm on a date abc7 news reporter dustin dorsey has more on the ruling and reaction from california's office of education. the supreme court continues to make decisions that legal experts consider huge shifts in constitutional law from abortion to gun rights and now religious freedom. this is a right for everybody the court's conservative majority ruled that high school football coach, joe kennedy's post-game prayer is protected under the first amendment. this comes after the washington state public school coach was suspended for preying on the field after games legal analyst jim hammer says, this can be seen as a big win for religious freedom supporters. what's going on now is the court saying no religion has an equal right along with secular activities to exist in in public places, and that's a big shift of the last 20-30 years hammer says that the key component of this ruling is that the court said, it's fair for coach kennedy or any public school coach or teacher to pray and private if he had tried on school time to lead kids in prayer at a public school. i think
