vista. six different fire agencies were called out to the scene. fire crusade was a difficult fight because of all the heavy timber inside this restaurant brings people from out of town over the weekend. the original restaurant burned but was replaced in 1996 owners have vowed to rebuild following this fire. it's a very iconic building. a lot of people come here to eat on the weekends on the weekdays and we're really excited that it turned down. the word on what caused the fire, which is under investigation. the bodies of three men who tried to rescue a child from sacramento river have now been recovered. the three men were swept into the current on sunday , right near the three mile slough bridge and highway 1 60, according to the rio vista fire department. the men went in when a child swimming in the water began to struggle to stay afloat. the child was pulled to safety. emergency crews searched the water for days and found the bodies of all three men last night. according to an online fun

according to the rio vista fire department. the men went in when a child who was swimming began to struggle to stay afloat. that child was eventually pulled to safety. emergency crews searched the water for several days. and located the bodies of all three men last night family at the scene have identified the men as edwin rivas, edwin perez and danilo solorzano. all three lived in oakland. the chp is investigating a rollover crash in the south bay that sent three people to the hospital. it happened just after 8 30 this morning in san jose on north dont wanna one old bayshore highway. the crash caused both vehicles to go off the road and overturn. one was a taxi. firefighters had to cut its roof off to get the driver and a passenger out. one person was in the other car. all three were transported to the hospital in critical condition. a motorcyclist passing by the crash scene, lost control of his caught by the dash cam of a ktvu news vehicle. the car in front of him on old bayshore highway. firefighters at the original crash sc

last sunday, tragedy struck near rio vista when three men drown while trying to save a young boy from the swift currents of the sacramento river. and today in oakland, the guatemalan community gathered for a fundraiser to help pay for the funeral expense. kpix's john ramos has the story. >> reporter: the guatemalan community of oakland is a tight-knit one, and together they came together. it'sece tradition in oakland guatemalan immigrant dies here, they both a fundraiser to donate money to send the body back to loved ones. the man who usually organize the events was edwin, but today they were raising money for his family. >> i have a little more peace because i know the support and. >> reporter: he drown trying to save his 8-year-old grandson who was swept away by the sacramento river. also killed were his two close friends. juan cabrero and one other man were able to get to the shore. >> they just jumped. >> reporter: the family shared this photo of the three men taken at a camp fire the night before. they were all active in a local soccer league. today a visiting team wore the jerse
