>> i think he deserves some credit, lawrence. i think fundamentally, as they, say prices go up and down based on a world market. and that is the bulk of price increases, price decreases. but the president did two things here that have led to one of the fastest declines in gas prices in history. the first was this historic release from the petroleum reserve, putting 1 million barrels a day more on the market, which helped to bring our price down. we are working with our allies to have them do the same. second, he put pressure on the well companies, when the price of oil came down he said, hey, you should lower the price of gas as fast as the price of oil is coming down. and that's why, not only is it going down, lawrence, but it's gone down almost $1 in just about six weeks. you know, the price of gas go down every single day this summer. obviously, there are big economic factors on the global price of oil. the president worked hard to make sure that starts to come down, and most importantly, that it's passed along to consumers. >
