our kron four's. dan kerman reports. >> now that you can get 5 doses out of a single vial of monkeypox vaccine. the san francisco department of public health will begin administering second doses to those who had the first dose at least 28 days ago to get the the most complete protection. we want people to have those second doses. but the county health officer says san francisco is now going an extra step up to now those eligible for a first shot had to be those at highest risk. now san francisco is making first doses available to all and bisexual men and trans people in the city. but we're trying to do simplify as much as possible. and again, to make sure that as many people as could benefit from the vaccine have an opportunity to get it. san francisco has seen a steady decline in m-pox cases. in fact. >> in the last week they've dropped into the single digits. but community providers point out there are still plenty of people who have not received that first dose and some vaccines will remain priori

kron four's. ken wayne is in the newsroom with the latest on outages all over, but particularly cannes in the south bay. yeah, catherine and it's not as bad as it was yesterday at this time. we do have outages but not as many outages. go to the map and show you what we're talking about. all of these green dots represent a fewer than 50 customers without power. so not a lot, particularly in north bay. we have nap and petaluma. they're had some significant outages up there yesterday. not the case today, but look at the south bay. there is a concentration here, especially as we drive into a highway 101, and tully road. this area here. this is more than 5,000 customers without power. in fact, if you teach them to drive in all the way down, you can see just how many neighborhoods and and down individual lots don't have power right now. so that is the biggest hot spot in the bay area in terms of not having power. and then there's this widespread outage in morgan hill. look at this entire areas around an

kron 4 dot com. now the peninsula, a chp officer is recovering from injuries after stopping a wrong-way driver. the chp says the driver of a silver honda was headed northbound in the southbound lanes of 2.80, in daly city when officers tried to stop the car, the man tried to get away. the chase ended in a 3 way crashes. you can see here, including a patrol car, the driver of the honda has been arrested for felony dui. the chp officer is expected to be okay. marin county filed a lawsuit against biotech giant monsanto alleging chemicals they produced known as pcbs, contaminated the community. cities on the lawsuit include sandra fell and novato. they claim monsanto knew about the dangers of the chemical for more than 50 years but continue to promote the products anyway. the seabees were used in coolant and lubricant and later banned in 1979. the county says similar lawsuits have been filed nationwide alleging that monsanto deliberately misled the public. environmental regulators and its own customers.

gayle ong kron, 4 news. to the east bay now where fire crews worked to stop a 2 alarm fire burning in oakland early this morning. >> flames broke out at a 3 story structure on oakdale avenue just is just north of mills college around 2.30, this morning in see very, very active flames. there crews were able to stop that fire from spreading to nearby homes and vegetation, though the cause is under investigation. some developing news tonight. the tables have turned on a 74 year-old oakley woman who claimed self-defense after shooting and killing a man back in may. but as kron four's philippe djegal reports, judith goodner is now behind bars, charged with murder. >> turns out oakley. police say 74 year-old judith goodner his claim of self-defense justifying the shooting death of 51 year-old ruben ortiz does not pan out. investigators say video evidence points to murder. a surprising twist for neighbors. crazy. you never know. we live by on may. 20th police say they learned goodner had a restraining order against

dan thorn kron, 4 news. >> thank you, dan. will today's incident just the latest in a string of problems for bart in recent weeks last sunday, bart service temporarily stopped in the transbay tube because 2 trains broke down between abarca darrow unlike merit friday at this was the 16th. there was a a deadly crash involving a motorcyclist and that disrupted service in downtown oakland for several hours leading to some chaos at a west oakland station. >> tonight, local police are investigating yet another deadly shooting that happened just before 2 o'clock this afternoon. 44th international. the suspects tried to rob a brinks armored truck. 3 people were shot. one of them died at the scene. a brinks employee and a bystander were injured. this is the city's 90nd homicide of the year. >> it's been a tough weekend. a city of we obviously have seen several homicides this week. we ask the community to continue to bring forth information, help us solve these crimes. we also asked the community to continue too help get rid of the guns

kron four's. dan thorn has more on the approach. coaches are taking to try to keep their players healthy. >> the sun baking the turf at liberty high school in brentwood thursday afternoon. practice for the football team went on as scheduled despite the high we do the necessary modifications when there wasn't contacted to the shoulder pads off water breaks and slow the pace down. head football coach mike cable says the district ordered cut-off point for outdoor activities is 105 degrees. if it gets to that point, the team will have to practice inside which makes things a little challenging. but it's the smart thing to do. south advocacy and hydration are preach at all times. if players need water take water. we let that know. we talk about the importance of staying hydrated, especially in brentwood, weather. even higher temperatures are expected to arrive next week. so coaches are already carefully adjusting practice schedules the regular afternoon workouts will likely be moved to the early morning
