and the same one for elizabeth warren, certainly massachusetts. not purple in that conventional way. minnesota, but winning in marquee beating scott brown. get to the senate and one of the hottest contests that election cycle. she had proven herself to be electable. and i think when warren looks back on her presidential run, their political reasons why i think she didn't get the nomination, i spent the most time with her and her campaign. i think on health care, for example, they just waited too long to come out with a plan. really, the entire primary, every debate. we would painstakingly spend so much time talking about medicare for all versus any other kind of health care plan. they just waited a little bit too long. and their rivals pounced on them for that. even though she was the candidate a plan for that. but the moment that sticks with me and frankly the that that really launched this book on the day that she dropped out she talked about the fact that she was thinking for the voters who expanded in minds just a little bit what they thought

warren talking about the extra pain that families in america may be facing. are you concerned at all about the fiscal response from the biden administration and other congressmen presented us? andrew: in terms of lack of support or spending, putting upward pressure on inflation? kriti: both. andrew: again, kind of a rock and a hard place there. actions like the inflation reduction act, while positive long-term, are unlikely to have meaningful impacts in the near-term, particularly fighting against inflation. it is an increase in spending although marginal when you look at it compared to the entire budget. the hope is, over time, it can increase the productive capacity of the economy. you are talking years, not months, of time to pass before it starts to have implications. in terms of support packages, depending on -- recession is the base case in 2023. the depth and breadth of that could call into question the need for some sort of fiscal response. again, that is something we will have to see when we have more information. jon: before we go, andrew, the state

annabelle: we have basically a letter coming from two of a, elizabeth warren and sheldon whitehouse. they're calling for accountability from the justice department, for it to not pull any punches in its investigation of exactly what went wrong in the collapse of ftx. ftx customers facing potentially steep losses. we had this first day hearings tuesday indicating that potentially a lot of the assets in this collapse are either stolen or missing. authorities in the u.s. and the bahamas continuing to investigate the turmoil. they have written a letter and basically they are saying that as the situation unfolds, they are going to get more details into a ackley what went wrong. they are urging the justice department to basically center the flesh and blood victims, the everyday person that has lost a lot in this collapse. we know that lawmakers in both the house and senate, including warren, have opened their own investigations into the collapse. a number of those key committees are going to be holding hearings at the start of december. what is interesting is that sam bankman-fried is stil

and how does campaigning with elizabeth warren, who is as hard left as you can be, whatever your views of her, does that-- i can see about wanting to bring out the base, but are there angry voters also looking at progressive policies at least in other states and saying, enough already? that's a delicate balance. >> it is. and you know, keep in mind, it's november here in new hampshire and people are filling up their home heating oil tanks, if you think filling your up gas tank is expensive. home heating oil is up 82%, what a new hampshire voting is doing, turning on their television sets and deluged by advertisement, but the first five news stories that they're hearing about are really bad news about the future, about prices, et cetera, and they're scared and that is-- they're now motivated now to vote for change and we're seeing that in some of our polling here. neil: so when you say you're seeing it in polling, some undecides and independents, describes a lot of new hampshire voters, certainly. how would you see it going or that momentum going? >> i think right now the momentum is on
