maria: welcome back. futures indicating a gain at the start of trading this morning ahead of a big week of economic ddata, largely housing data and gdp. dow industrials are up 91, s&p up 13, nasdaq higher by 50 points right now. we've got the final read on third quarter gdp out this thursday and the personal consumption expenditures report, that index coming out on friday along with all of the housing data. joining me now, the head of portfolio management, zach hill. thank you for being here. how would you assess what we're about to see, whether it's economic growth for the third quarter or the upcoming housing data, what are you expecting? >> good morning, thanks for having me. i think we're getting into the period at the the end of the year where there's more noise than signal. as you mentioned, we do get a lot of housing data today. that's the forefront of the fed policy taking a bite on the economy and so that's something that we're watching a good bit in the short-term but in the more medium term i t

>> thanks, maria. yes, i think a lot of the inflation expectations so far coming towards the end of the year have been priced into the market. we're expecting about a 10% decline from last month in ppi or the producer price index and next week we're expecting headline cpi to come down to about low 7s, around 7.3 versus previously we were around 7.7 and this is all dictated by the fact that we are seeing across different parts of the economy a slowing economic environment, primarily due to the fact that we know that the fed continues to pump the brakes on economic expansion by increasing interest rates and we do expect the fed to increase interest rates by another half a percent on december 14th and next year probably still increase interest rates but stepping down those rate increases to a series of about 0.25% or 25 basis point increases and again it's because we're still hovering at inflation levels that are well above their 2% target for next year in yeah. so we all want to know what this means for
