not a lot to report, but here in the upper east shore of the east bay shoreline from the bay bridge up through albany enrichment, that's where you have your highest concentration of east bay outages. all together. we're looking at about 7600 customers without power in the east bay. and now as we slide to the north bay, you'll see a lot of orange and yellows and greens and a lot of it in more of the remote, rugged hillier terrain of napa and sonoma counties. that's where outages have been upwards of about. 22,022 1700 customers. that number really hasn't gone down yet because this is a lot tougher for pg need to work on with all the trees and all the vegetation surrounding a lot of these power lines. the winds have to die down. they say before they can really get up into the power poles and bring up the cherry pickers to work on this. that's going to happen later today will should see the winds died down john saint tomorrow. also a great opportunity for pg need to try to get some of this work done. get this power restored before we have our next round of wet weather which don't forget,

we are and freeze warnings for the inland north bay and inland. the east bay. there's one thing coming to our rescue this morning, though. it has been some relatively strong winds out of the delta that's moderating temperatures for some areas. so we've got quite a mix of 30's to 40's mountain view, redwood city hayward and fremont in the 30's. well, breezy spots like fairfield in pittsburgh actually holding on to the mid 40's right now in the meantime, conquered you fall into 35 degrees nevado petaluma as well as fairfax down into the 30's as well in those windier areas that tends to mix some of those colder layers out and keeps those areas a bit more mild. that's why vacaville fairfield in napa actually still holding on to 40's rather than 30's. as for radar skies, stay clear and dry. and you can expect a lot more of that this weekend. nothing really coming through to interrupt that sunshine. so get outside plans. some outdoor activities just make sure you've got your layers as you're doing. so as for bridges were still nice, an empty out their 04:00am and fri

in the east bay. chp has confirmed a 19 year-old daymond lazzenby junior was hit and killed by a car. damon had been missing since new year's day. his body was found last saturday near highway 4 between port chicago and willow pass road in concord. his family was raising questions when his body was found. they said the area had already been searched by officials and family members several times. but chp confirms lazenby was struck by the right front portion of a vehicle and they believe the driver fled the scene. they may have been driving a dark colored sedan. anyone with information regarding the driver or that suspect vehicle is asked to contact chp. folks all around the bay area came out to commemorate doctor martin luther king junior with the freedom train today. it pulled into the station on 4th street around noon that was the last stop of the free commemorative cal train ride and martin luther king day festival. those who attended highlight the fact that today is a celebration, but also the sol

the east bay. and that is oakland also now is in this flash flood warning as well. so again, if you see these areas in red in the east bay, which you can see includes a good portion of the east bay. you are under that flash flood warning as well as san francisco county and again right now for port richmond all the way down to san leandro through oakland, through the oakland hills as well, where again, we have had quite a bit of flooding problems before when you have any of those areas that could have, you know, debris flow happening when all this water comes down very quickly. so just to get another heads up, we do have this incredibly just of storm that just rolled through here. very dangerous situation where we've got wind and rain. and you can see right now is starting push into the bay. it will be headed across. so those of you in the east bay, if you're within the sound of my voice, get ready because it's coming your way and you send it back to the desk. but i will be monitoring this. back to

san francisco now working its way on towards the bay bridge in the east bay hills. also in the midst of some heavier intensity rainfall north bay looking at petaluma right now, just north of you between a santa rosa in petaluma right there around rohnert park. you've got some heavier pockets, too. we'll continue to see this rain through the morning. so as i mentioned, there's no beating it. in fact, just take it slow or leave early. we start to clear on the north bay around 10:00am the rest of us more towards noon and then we actually get some sunshine this afternoon. tomorrow morning, another wet start because of all this flood watches in effect for the bay. you see those pockets of red in the santa cruz mountains as well as up along the russian river. those are flood warnings where flooding is imminent and currently happening. futurecast, wind gusts is showing you. we have some 30 to 40 miles per hour gusts right now. so it's windy. it's wet. at least it is mild. but all in all, just take it slower in minimize travel time this morning. i know we got to get to work

but getting ready to move into the east bay. the threat of flooding will continue today with creeks and streams likely flooding as we go into at least late this morning but definitely by this afternoon. once all of that water has a chance to go down to some of those low-lying areas, but we're also going to have big impacts in the commute this morning with all of this heavy rain, but we're going to start to see the axis starting to shift from san francisco on southward, so this is where we're expecting the biggest impacts over the south bay as well as the santa cruz mountains. we can see that by 11:00, the rain gets lighter for the north bay but still raining heavily into the early afternoon from the tri-valley down to san jose as well as the santa cruz mountains once again. here we are at 9:00. it looks like quickly the rain just cuts off and we get a bit of a break here. the next storm is it going to be arriving right on its heels, and we start to see the potential of some thunderstorms going into tomorrow as the cold front com

in the east bay. the alameda county coroner is investigating after a human skeleton was found on uc berkeley campus grounds tuesday. police say they don't know how long the remains had been in the closed building on the clark kerr campus. that is about a mile from the main campus. officials say the building had not been occupied for many years. the cause of death will be determined through an autopsy. officials say more information will be provided once the coroner's report is made available. prosecutors in the south, they say one of the suspects in the kidnapping case of baby brandon quay. lauren san jose is now denying her guilt in the case pleading this. that's despite pleading no contest to all charges 5 months ago. prosecutors say use any of what a ramirez is now claiming her estranged husband forced her to kidnap baby brandon by holding a gun to her head. but deputy da rebecca was says her office has presented significant evidence proving ramirez was behind the kidnapping. but now ramirez faces

plo alto and making its way across the bay moving into the east bay. we are under a high wind warning until 10:00 where winds could gust 40 to 60 miles an hour in the hills and mountains as well as more heavy rain that's really hitting us for the morning commute as our mountains may get another 3 to 6 inches of rainfall. we have the concern of mud slides as well as more power outages. and also isolated thunderstorms in the forecast that could produce some damaging wind. we start to see the heaviest rain shifting south late morning into the afternoon and the system stalling out will add more flooding impact. our creeks and rivers will be rising fast and we're going to see it letting up just a limb bit for parts of the north bay but still running very heavily in san jose as well as the tri-valley into early in the afternoon and then going into the evening a couple of pop-up showers and thunderstorms. there is a little bit of a break tonight as more rain is set to move in early tomorrow morning. a lot of that will be quite heavy at times but a little bit
