john f. kennedy was beyond the math and that got me very intrigued he and i worked on a joint project. while there had been many books that had been written, where there is an old expression this is the book that i wanted to read about john f. kennedy. i try to make it a very brisk narrative that makes you feel you're going through these very tumultuous and triumphant in manys ways tragic days of the kennedy presidency and that you are there with them day in and day out as he wrestles with one issue or another. it's episodic in a way that i didn't see the other kennedy treatments. it overshadows kennedy in some respects. so that was important to me and there are so many books with an agenda. my only agenda was to capture this indelible presidenthe and what he meant to the country end of the momentous decisions that came across it. >> the country is so fascinated by him and the family and the smithh of camelot. it grips america to this day. why do you think that is? i'm still trying to figure
