neil: what got this going? >> well there is a new city of atlanta law enforcement training facility that has been a little bit controversial. there has been some folks that are environmental protesters. most of that group has been peaceful but some domestic terrorists, anarchists, whatever you want to call them, you know, really have been damaging property, assaulting workers, state employees and other people. you know, quite honestly in my opinion this has gone on way too long. i became very frustrated with this situation several months ago and have been pushing the georgia bureau of investigation, the state patrol and other state law enforcement to start working with the locals to make sure we had a safe environment here. you know we didn't play into the local politics of the decision that was made but we're just not going to stand for construction sites being terrorized and people being assaulted and that goes for our police officers too. and so we made that clear saturday night. unfortunately we had a state

neil? >> trace: thank you for that very much. so where are we going with this? tom bevan joins us from real clear politics and lee carter as well looking at how this is polling gop-wise. lee, the fact that the president will face challengers isn't new. the fact that they are being so clear in their willingness to say you might find it disloyal, but we don't is a little different. it's advance this. what to you make of this? >> it's definitely advanced this. it shows there's a lot of play out there. the thing i'm looking at is the polls and the impact of more people coming in the race. seems that the more people come in, the better president trump does. it's the second tier vote that is getting split. it's the same thing that happened in 2016. there was donald trump and everybody else. everybody else ended up splitting the ticket. so when you look at the polling as it is right now, when it's he-to-head, desantis and trump, desantis comes really close. when you put the other candidates in, tr
