ama: and i'm ama daetz. dan: officers are still on the scene. we're seeing a lot of evidence markers and police officer motorcycle is still on its side. ama: for the latest let's go to ryan curry who is there live. ryan? reporter: dan, ama, good evening. oakland police confirmed moments ago they shot and armed robbery suspect earlier this afternoon. that suspect has been taken to the hospital with nonlife threatening injuries. as you can see, officers are still on the scene processing evidence as well as investigating what led up to that shooting. they say a motorcyclist driving erratically eventually crashed at 105th and international in east oakland. this happened in the early part of the afternoon. police just revealed more information about what they say happened. they tell us the motorcyclist was not being chased when the rash -- when he crashed but did start running when he saw officers nearby. >> following the vehicle collision and again a solo vehicle collision, no other vehicles were involved. he ran on foot eastbound to 107th avenue an
